BSA journals, Sociological Research Online and Cultural Sociology, are seeking applications to join the Editorial Board.
We are looking for Board members interested in making a contribution to the discipline, to fellow authors and to the journals through peer reviewing and also through discussions about the strategy and directions of the journals.

The SRO and CUS Editorial Boards welcome sociologists from all areas of the world, particularly scholars from the global south and Asia. Candidates do not need an academic affiliation to be eligible. Colleagues working as independent sociologists, between academic posts, or outside of the academic context are welcome to apply. The journals encourage members from all cultural and academic backgrounds to contribute to the diversity of research published by the journal.
Cultural Sociology
All applications are welcome; we find that expertise in the following areas is particularly needed:
- Ethnicity
- Theory
- Regional expertise, including for regions within Asia, Latin America and Africa
- Migration
Sociological Research Online
Candidates with expertise in the following areas are particularly needed:
- Quantitative methods
- Medical sociology
- Sociology of care and ageing
- Economic sociology
- Identity politics
- Affect theory
- Practice theory
- Indigenous studies
- Migration
